Quotes of the week
"I think books are like people, in the sense that they’ll turn up in your life when you most need them." – Emma Thompson
"One glance at a book and you hear the voice of another person, perhaps someone dead for 1,000 years. To read is to voyage through time." – Carl Sagan
Hello,
Back home in Sweden. Here the autumn is upon us, with a mixture of sunny days, and cloudy windy ones. Lots of things to do since I have been away for three months. On Tuesday evening when I arrived at Copenhagen airport, I met up with a childhood friend, who happened to be at the airport at the same time. We have not met for at least ten years, but it was like we had met yesterday. I think that you will always be relaxed and easygoing with people you have known from young age. We had a wok, a glass of wine and caught up on what has happened since last time we met.
Tomorrow I am taking the car to Karlskrona to visit my parents and brother. His son and wife are also coming. The excitement is that it will be the first time we meet their son Philip, who celebrates his first birthday.
This month I am busy with three blog challenges: Nonfiction November, Novellas in November and German Literature Month. I have chosen two-three books for each challenge, but I will probably not be able to read as many as I would like. If you are interested you can follow my efforts on thecontentreader.com.
I still have two places to share with you from Greece. Delphi, which I think, might be the most famous of the places. The center of the world, and the Pythia who had the ability to read the future. Another exciting place we visited was the sunken city. A Roman villa situated just under the water and you can see the ruins while snorkling. Quite an amazing experience.
See you next week.
Sorry, something went wrong. Couldn't post. Well, this is what I wanted to say:
Glad you're back home and back to blogging. Sounds like you had a great time.
