What a fascinating post (and trip). Amazing to think our civilization goes back so far, and now is in such danger. It was all intriguing but hearing about Nestor and his palace was especially fascinating. A figure like King Arthur -- was he real or wasn't he? Probably not quite, but. still, a fascinating story!

Yes, they are all fascinating stories. As we read about them, they do become alive, and we actually think they were living that many years ago. Most of the famous people from the Iliad and Odyssey are fictional, although they seem alive to us. Nestor's palace did most likely not belong to the Nestor in the Iliad, but to another one with that name. But, it is nice to think it is. The same with King Arthur. His story is still going around. Even if he, as the story goes, did not live, maybe someone else, had a similar life and the story goes on.

Yes, it is unbelievable what we are destroying today. The stories are so intriguing, and you right, I guess you could compare it to King Arthur. Nestor's palace was fascinating, and with this weeks newsletter there is a continuation of the Mycenaean time and its architectural wonders. Thank you for your comments.
