There is nothing more delightful than reading in a gorgeous setting! I love every single photo -- it looks like a wonderful trip. How I would love to do a long train journey!
Yes, it is a treat. This was a short journey with local trains so not so much time to read and not so comfortable seats, although good enough, as you have on a longer going train. It gave us both inspiration to continue travelling in this way.
I love reading in beautiful settings. It is also nice for me, having trouble with my feet, to sit down here and there and read to rest my feet. An excuse as good as any for reading for a while.
I hear you with the feet! Rick could go forever -- my walking capacity is far limited so I almost always have a book tucked away somewhere and I'm happy to find a bench after a bit and let him hike!
I understand fully, what would we do without books. Martin is the same as Rick, he can walk for ever. Mine is limited to about two hours, sometimes less, depending where you are walking. I am still hoping that the feet will become better.
